Product Overview:
True all-transistor feedback-free CAST amplifier circuit
Uses four high-speed Toshiba output tubes of 20W each, powerful enough to drive most headphones
8 groups of high performance regulated power supplies
35W high performance ring bull using imported iron cores and lacquered wires
Audiophile grade devices including ALPS 27 type volume potentiometer, gold plated solid copper RCA sockets etc.
3 digital inputs : RCA coaxial / Optical / USB
Preamp output : RCA (volume can be set fixed or adjustable)
Headphone output : 6.3MM
Please note:
The NFB-11 has a built-in amplifier that operates at a high bias, and most headphones will operate at pure Class A when listening to the volume on a daily basis, so it is best to leave the top of the NFB-11 uncovered for heat dissipation.
How do I select the adjustable or fixed DAC output level of the NFB-11?
The NFB-11 has a set of Line out outputs to provide DAC signal output. The default output level is adjustable (with preamp function), but the user can set the output level to adjustable or fixed (DAC output function). The settings are shown in one of the pictures below. The DAC output is set to adjustable volume only by inserting the shorting plug to the left, while the headphone output, adjustable volume output and fixed volume output can be selected by inserting the shorting plug to the right.
Setting the NFB-11 for a thicker, warmer tone
Plugging in two shorting plugs in the positions shown below will make the tone thicker and warmer to suit brighter headphones or the user's personal preference. (To change the design, turn off the machine and disconnect the power cable before opening the top panel.
The NFB-11's digital filter settings (we have gone through many auditions to determine the default settings and recommend using the default settings to hear a neutral, natural sound. Changing the digital filter type will change the tone).
